SSW is the independent Champion Body for sustainability in the South West of England. This year's summit held in July focused on how the organisation would need to change and adapt to this new age of austerity. Facilitating the two-day residential event, Alan helped the staff and board to think through a new direction for the charity.

The 2020 Delivery Group has been established by the Scottish Government to ensure that all sectors of Scotland's economy and civic society contribute fully to achieving the ambitious carbon reductions in the Climate Change Delivery Plan. Alan has been invited to become a member of the Finance Working Group chaired by Lady Susan Rice, Chair of the Lloyds Banking Group Scotland.
