The latest awards from the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund has taken Alan’s fundraising for local communities to over £1.1 million. Letham Residents Association in Perth have been awarded £71,211.02 and are the latest organisation to benefit from our fundraising skills and expertise on low carbon futures.

Waterford Festival of Architecture: Alan has been invited to give a keynote address to this conference in April on the potential of communities to inspire architects to create a new regeneration process to support a low carbon future. Alan will be revisiting an area where he worked 10 years ago to help establish one of the first Development Trust's in Ireland at Tramore.

2010 has kicked off with a fascinating range of projects for our practice taking us from Perthshire to Pembrokeshire, Shetland and Ireland. Paul Cowper, the chairman of the Tenby Community Development Group praised our work following Alan's first visit commenting, "I cannot praise too highly the skills and personal qualities that Alan brings to any community trying to better themselves. Alan is a volunteer board member on the Comrie Development Trust who are fast gaining a national reputation for their Comrie Carbon Challenge project and the sustainable development of 96 acres of land on the edge of their village at Cultybraggan.
