re: sourcebook - planning for your community

The re:sourcebook encourages communities to plan effectively for their future. It covers from getting started and establishing a Steering Group to preparing a plan, developing your local organisation and finding the resources to make your plan happen. The re:sourcebook:

	is a practical source of ideas and suggestions, it is not a step by step guide;
	is designed to help you think through issues, it is not intended to offer ready made solutions;
	is a framework for action, it is not a prescriptive approach;
	is a starting point, it is not an end in itself.

The publication was researched and written by Alan Caldwell for the South West of England Regional Development Agency and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

Who is it for?

The re:sourcebook has been written to support community leaders involved in grass roots planning, regeneration and economic development. It also offers guidance to those working with the community including local authority officers, agency staff, consultants, volunteers and community agents.
